Default lone quilter no more

I have invited some friends to join me on a tuesday afternoon for quilting or just sewing or whatever they want, so far I have up to 4 coming, I did have a wee problem tho I only had six chairs and they are in the dinning room and 1 in my sewing room, we happeed to call in to drop something of to our accountant and he is moving house they had 3 garage sales but has lots left over including 7 chairs, and a table plus lots of mattress protectors, well I am all for recycling and used them to make covers for my kitchen chairs, I made six seat covers to match the placemats I made.

they are brand new chairs and the kittens think they are scratching pads hence the chair covers, they love to sleep on them but they no longer scratch them

It is so nice to sew with friends. You will enjoy this and learn from each other.

This goes back to the old quilting circles. In days past, this was the only social time ladies had with each other and get out of the home. Now we are so busy with many other things that we have to set aside time to be with other ladies. Friendship is important.

Oh, I like your chairs too, but I was more excited that you are starting a sewing circle.

I was considering using that type of design (Dresden Plate?)on dining chair seat covers. Is it comfortable to sit on? The concern i had was that there are a lot of seams.
