Default Viking Diamond Sewing Machine

This has just happened to me, so I am posting the question on here until I can call my dealer.

Has anyone had a knocking noise while sewing with a Diamond Sewing machine? It just started doing this while sewing a straight stitch (not going over any seams), I tried cleaning the bobbin area and turning the machine off and then back on and it still does it.

I am not going to sew on it anymore unitl I get it checked out. Hoping to get an idea what it could be, until I can call my dealer. Sad Face

My Mom has the Viking Ruby, and had the same issue just a few weeks ago. She said it was very loud and would start after sewing for a bit, not on start -up.
She just got her machine back from being set back to Viking in Tennesse. They did alot of work on it all under warrenty. The machine was just under 1 year old.

I have a Bernina and it was knocking when I was sewing. I had to reinsert the needle as it was not all the way in the shaft.

Thanks everyone for your replies.

I changed my needle and the problem was solved. (DH told me the needle was bent slightly) I feel so much better now.

I usually always change my needle for every new project. Maybe need to remember to do that for sure. Thanks
