need Help
#1
Don't know where to put this, but I need help. I have to make a geneology quilt. Starting with a circle in the middle and then continuing around and around, dividing each segment into family members. does anyone know of a pattern that starts out in the round, so to speak. I can't find anything and I went thru most of my quilt pattern books. If you know of a site or have an idea, Please- let me know. I don't know how I am going to be able to sew circles. Thanks for any help.

Here is a start for you. These have been posted by other members on the board. Go to the top of the screen and type in Family Tree Quilts and alot comes up. Good luck cant wait to see what you make.
Zoom in on this one and you can see that the information is on the leaves. Coolest Idea.

This one is on Apples. Now I really like this one.

ok you will have to visulies this----drawing pin taped
with point up-- to your sewing machine to the side of the needle+foot[the side away from the body of machine=]--distance away from needle will be half diameter of circle [use an add on table and you can get big circles] place the center of your fabric on the pin+sew feeding the fabric slowly you will be sewing in a circle--you can fuse applique +sew edge down-can create circles with embroidery on fabric---you can sew 2 pieces of fabric R S T an turn this gives perfect circles
