This might be a dumb question, but I'm working through my first PP tutorial. Can I print the pattern on paper with something else on the backside (reusing old printed stuff)?

TIA

I prefer not to when I print out the patterns. It can get confusing. If it is just print it tends to mask the lines. You really need to be able to see the lines from the wrong side as well and the right side to stitch along.

i think it would be ok unless what was printed on the other side would keep you from seeing your pattern

I agree, you are paper piecing because of the accuracy of this method. Having printing on the other side will not allow you to see the lines that you will be aligning your fabric to, when you hold it up to a light source.

I am all for recyling, but probably not in this case :D:D:D

I do it all the time if there isn't too much on the backside to confuse you!

One the 2nd page of the tutorial it says she'll come back to finish because the weather was bad. I don't see anything else. It ends with finishing 1 of the 4 blocks. What do I do now? What order does the color go in? I feel like I'm missing something.

Well, I tried it. I did 1/2 the block and realized I didn't have enough material to do the other 1/2 because I cut it wrong. But...I did it!! Now my question, what do I do with the paper that is still attached? Do I tear it off?

Leave the paper on until you have sewn the four sections together. Once you have sewn two sections together, tear off the paper in the seam allowance that you just sewed.
