I need a little help. I know the kind of quilt I want to make but I don't the name to look it up. It's the little girl with a long dress and hat and she's holding a parasol. In the magazine it was called "English Miss"but I had no luck with that name. There were flowers embiored under her gown if that helps and a ribbon around her hat. Anybody know the one I'm talking about? I have a order for it or anything,it's just so pretty that I want to add it to my books.

I think she is called colonial lady (miss) but some blocks have many names.

I thought about that but the Sunbonnet Sues look like little girls and this block looked more grown up.

I believe it's called Parasol Lady.

Thanks. It's a beautiful quilt block and I think it would a great pink and purple quilt for my granddaughter for Christmas. With the applique and the embiorbery,it'll will take that long to do a good job. I'm going to put some beading on the dress and hat also.Kaylee will like it and she thinks the only colors that matter are pink and purple.I thought about some lace around the edge of the parasol too.

I think you will find several as colonial ladies. That was the first quilt I made a long time ago.

This is a 2009 post but take a peek for fun. Beautiful quilt and maybe some information you can lean on.
