    Default Quilt Layout

I'm trying to figure out the best layout of a quilt I'm working on. It's a 4-Patch Stacked Posies. I have (28) 6 1/2" blocks. What's the best layout? I'm SO not good at this part.

    TIA

If your blocks are 6 1/2"--what size swuares did you cut? I am going to make a 4 patch posie and bought material but am undecided wha size to cut the squares to determine how big I want the blocks to be. Please post pictures of your blocks, I need inspiration. Thanks.

Pictures of what you have so far will help with suggestions. I have an old plastic/flannel tablecloth I use to lay out my blocks. Stretch it out on the living room floor than I can move if necessary to sewing room.

I don't know how to do a picture on here, but if you set it on point and did 4 blocks in one row; then 5 blocks in the following and repeat that for a total of 6 rows, you would use 27 of them. And then do setting triangles of a coordinating fabric.

Okay I see I managed to paper clip a layout from EQ on here! It has more rows than you have blocks, but it gives you the idea of what I'm trying to describe, just stop when you have the 27 blocks used. HTH

Here is a picture of 8 of them. Each one will have a narrow block border, an inner block border and setting stones.

Here is a picture of the pattern:

You could do three blocks by five blocks and alternate with solids...

I did a couple of these and I put mine on point and picked out a solid for the sashing and different color for the cornerstones.

I would go to the Quilt Gallery and look through all the great pictures there until I found an idea I liked. We've had some amazing 4PP on QB. Your blocks are real pretty and your top is going to be great!
