Has anyone used poplin in a quilt? I have a large piece that I want to use as a backing, so I would like some info about it. Thanks.

I don't know why not just be sure to wash and dry it first so it won't be too stiff.

It can be made of cotton or poly, as well as a few others. I would wash the fabrics for my top, as well the poplin for the back.

I think poplin could be hard to hand quilt. If you are thinking of hand quilting, I would create a test sandwich first.

I haven't tried it yet but I did see it in the LQS the other day when I went to my Bee. Looks interesting.
