I am going to a small quilt retreat in October and would like to take along some hints to share with the gals. I know this board is full of knowledge so would you give me your best hints you use for quilting. I know there was something a while back but I haven't been able to find all the hints that were to be listed in a group for us.

Thanks for your help. Figured if I got started on this early enough I could organize them into subject matter and that might work better than just randomly throwing them out.

Hint #1 = Have Fun
Hint #2 = Don'e be afraid to learn something new
Hint #3 = Feeling discouraged; always refer to Hint #1

Enjoy your retreat.

It's okay to step outside the box, sometimes plan B turns out better.

Have a fabulous trip!

If you buy a new machine, don't be afraid to take it out of the box and use it.
Don't be afraid to try something new. :-D

I just saw a great tip on Fons and Porters show.
When making a log cabin quilt buy a couple of dollar store silverware trays, one for light fabrics and one for dark.
Put your cut strips into the trays, they will be all sorted and ready to use.
