Congrats on having a wonderful and helpful husband! My husband likes to be involved in my quilting and I'm so grateful when he helps with sandwiching and even pin -basting, two jobs I'm not crazy about doing. I try to show my appreciation appropriately...with chocolate chip cookies! Lol.

My DH has just been changing the sole plates on my walking foot. Phew... I don't want to break those little pegs. If he does it then he'll understand better why he is buying me a new one!

I don't have a DH, but my sister has helped when I sandwiched a quilt once... What a huge help!!

When I am pin basting a Quilt of Valor, using about 125 pins, my DH follows me closing the pins. He calls me the 'hooker', while he is the 'closer'. I have a large (6'x9') padded and elevated table which really helps in this process. (I used to do custom sewing for the home, including bedspreads and all window treatments, thus this big table.) He's definitely a keeper. Yesterday, we celebrated 56 years.

Lucky you to have quilting pal. I often layer my quilts at my guild's work day so I can be helped and help others get those layers smooth and sprayed or pinned. That is what quilting is all about, working together.

My DH doesn't help much in the quilting dept. but he makes up for it in the encouragement dept. by telling me how nice everything looks even though I point out my mistakes. He's also ready to go to the store when I need something new.
