Been having some troubles with the Ninja Star quilt (the Double Pinwheel bock wasn't lying flat---finally figured out that one of my triangle templates wasn't square and it was messing things up)...so I've been designing a little to keep myself from going absolutely insane over it. Besides the Wind Waker stained glass wall hangings (which I realized have at least 10-12 different colors on each of them), I came up with a couple Irish Chain variations. Nothing really special, but interesting none-the-less.

Both are very neat. Love the second one especially.

Those both are really nice! I can't wait to see them in a quilt. Are you going to do them yourself or are you going to have someone help you so you can write up the pattern?

they're both very clever!!! :P i don't recall ever seeing anything like either one.

i especially like the second one, also. not only is it unusual; not only does it open up so many possibilities in terms of color, value and combinations of both; it's an awesome design for a new quilter. offers up many opportunities for skill building, and would look like a pro's quilt when done.

hats off to the Flying Goddess!!! :P :P :P :!:

Nice work, Goddess. I like the modern art one better (I've always been known as the oddball  ). It reminds me of the op art movement of the early sixties. Try using the bright hopes block in an Irish Chain. I think you'll like the way the weave patterns work out (I did anyway). It's an easy block that looks quite hard and has a lot of visual impact. Isn't it great how designing can be such a stress buster? 8) Keep it up, you're doing great.

Wow! I love both of these.
Will you publish these patterns?
I want them!

Yes, I know, I have more patterns than time. :-o
One day that will be reversed.

You are an amazing designer! I would never call these designs "nothing really special." These are both awesome patterns, you are so creative! :D :D :D Keep designing, I love what you come up with! :D :D :D
