What a great deal. It pays to check around. I love the pattern and the fabrics are beautiful. Have fun with your kit and keep us posted on your progress.

I don't see a downside to buying it all at once. I'd prefer to do that anyway. Sorry, don't know anything about the Cotton Club, though.

Go fer it! I like it. I prefer the lighter version too. Someone gave me an applique' BOM from Piece of Cake. She paid over $300 for those blocks. I have yet to complete the first block! I think the website is honorable--I have been there before but not purchases. Can't wait to see this one done!

They're OK, something to look forward to every month, but I prefer (especially at this price) to get the whole thing at once.

You know me, friends, I'll be posting every step! I'm still suffering "Quilt Guilt"!

The shop is The Cotton Club online. Has anyone dealt with them? I'm so hoping comments are positive! I can squeak that out of my budget.

Update! Update! Its here already! Ordered Tues night, arrived Friday! I'd say the service is good! The fabric is awesome! Such wonderful cottagey feminine stuff! Here is a picture and I'll have many more, but first I have to cut out all the templates! Happy dance!!

I'll name this one the "Guilt Quilt"

I am glad to see your fabrics arrived so quickly! Great! I am doing the very same BOM through my LQS and I am also doing the light colorway. I am using her template set and they work out really well. I just hate all the cutting of each block but her directions are so good and everything is just so accurate. My finished blocks are consistently coming out at 12 1/2 '' for a change. Hope you enjoy it as much as I am!

Kitsie,
Now don't you dare feel guilty! Why have you seen what they are worth when they are finished and quilted? They are a family heirloom. Besides, I would care to bet you don't buy hundred dollar hand bags or shoes. Right? Enjoy your new kit (if you buy it) and think about how much fun you will have putting it together.

Edited to say ... I didn't read all the way through... Glad you got it and are going to have some fun!

Pam, do you think its worth spending the money for her template sets? What are they made of? I'm cutting from white flat template plastic. Post some pictures for us!

Kitsie, Her templates are an acrylic material and about 1/4 to 3/8 in thickness. They are quite sturdy. I am able to easily use them to cut a width by butting my long ruler up against and then removing the template to cut a long strip. Makes it easier when there are going to be several of a certain template # to cut. The templates have a hole in the center at one end and I just slip them on a binder clip so I don't lose any. I did put little round sandpaper dots at the corners on the back sides to keep them from slipping when I am cutting. Were they pricey? I looked but I don't see the price marked on them...probably about $15, I am just guessing. I think making your own templates would be fine but I know me and I would never get around to doing that. Oh, and I bought a teeny-tiny rotary cutter (I didn't even realize they made them so small) to cut around the edges of the templates. It is wonderful!

I really do like this BOM. Marti Mitchell's directions are very clear and by using these little templates and cutting off the dog-ears, my blocks just seem to go together so well. I hope you enjoy doing your quilt! Have you thought about getting any addtional fabric and making some pillow shams to go with? My LQS has the extra fabric available so I that is one of the summer projects I am planning to do.
