a new-old Morse sewing machine
#1
was at Goodwill today and found this machine. Was only $9.97 - 25% off sale for the day. It is so clean and shiny and looks like hardly used. It does run - but have not yet figured out how to thread it. Research indicates made in Japan and is more of an industrial type machine, good for sewing heavy thick fabric, fur, leather etc. Even had a bunch of attachments, bobbins and some new needles! Has anyone ever heard of this machine or used one? I of course did not NEED it but it was so pretty and shiny and I figured needed a good home! Have not been able to find model number on it yet - none on the motor so still need to look more. I will say that it is the HEAVIEST machine I have ever had. Nearly needed a dolly to get it from car to house! LOL Bet not one plastic piece on it!

You are SO lucky! Here our thrift shops have highly inflated ideas of what their products are worth. Very few bargains. I stick mainly to Estate Sales and church rummage sales. Rarely go to the thrift shops any more unless I go out of town, where I'll admit they do have some good prices there..40 to 60 miles away.
