Can you use machine quilting and hand quilting on the same quilt?

I don't see why not, it's your quilt and there are no quilt police.

Your quilt: your choice .... You are your OWN "quilt police" ....

But, if you plan to enter into competition ..... rules vary ..... so check first .....

Really, are you sure? I have heard legendary stories about the quilt police and have been looking over my shoulder when I know I'm doing somethig "wrong"!

IF you are sure - whew, I feel better!

I'm doing one now that I had more then half of it finished
with my machine and now I'm finishing it by hand, it had way to many curves to do with the machine so I decided to do it this way. :D

If the machine quilting is going to be done on a longarm, be sure to do the machine quilting first. If you do the hand quilting first you run the risk of damaging the quilt top while applying tension with the longarm.
