I you have an old flat iron that will work to keep the ruler from slipping. My grandmother use it use several flatirons to hold her dress patterns in place while she cut them out. A metal bacon press will work too. I painted some flat irons different bright colors and use them a lot in my sewing and pressing.

Looks like it might work!! Marie was asking how much it was - on the website it shows 35.00 for the 24" not including shipping - I will wait for your review before I send that kind of money lol I am a gadget kind of person but I will wait to see how you like it first lol

I just bought some clear buttons, kitchen door cushions, put them on the 4 corners of a square ruler. It does not move, it also gives the height needed when cutting the twister blocks so it does not rock. The buttons cost $3 per package, I will use the rest of them on other rulers.

my FAVORITE ruler is the 24" O'LIPFA ruler with a handle that also has small "pins" , for lack of better word, that press down into the surface/fabric as you press on the handle. love it. same principle and a good ruler. does this tool have measurements on it like a ruler or is it a straight edge?

Finally! A use for my bacon press. I wanted one for years, and now that I have it, I never use it. That's about to change. Guess I better make sure it's super clean first.
