Has anybody used that? I saw today that they have 110" wide unbleached and a white on white printed backing.

I have never used the wide before but have used the other. There is two grades.

just feel it- and look at it- if it's not real thin there would be no reason to not give it a try- doesn't really matter where the muslin comes for- there are very thin muslins- and muslins more along the line of the other cottons we use available at most fabric stores...lqs' included- the thin stuff is good to use for foundations- the heavier good to use for quilt backs/blocks

I would compare it. I bought a bolt last year when it was $5. I started to use it on a lap quilt back and couldn't believe the quality it was; very thin. I had been working w/Southern Bell and it was a major difference that I couldn't use it in a quilt. Maybe if I did it for foundation piecing or to make a template w/but not even on a backing. Check it to see if it's good

The wide white on white is pretty good and as was stated above the muslin varies in quality.

Our Wal-mart has two types one is very thin and the other is much thicker. I have uses the thicker white on a king quilt this summer and it worked out just fine. I have used the thinner type for foundation piecing. I have also gotten the unbleached type for a quilt project where everyone used fabric markers and made their own quilt block. I put them together and used it for the back of a quilt I made for a family reunion. Turned out great.

I wouldn't use the white on white for a back unless it is going to be longarmed. If you are going to be using a home machine, the white print will act like a grippy and make free motion very draggy. Is that a word?
