I am finishing the binding on a baby quilt, hopefully this afternoon. I have started SID on my large peacock quilt.... "and" I signed up for the Introduction to FMQ on String & Story site for the 30th (will be rushing around as it is also my walking group day) " and" haha.... I am also going to do the NYD mystery quilt on Merry Mayhem site... and now my Sis has invited us for lunch on NYD so it will also be a rushing around day..... whew.... I'm tired just reading about my plans!

Look forward to seeing and hearing about what everyone is working on.

I started sewing on a double wedding ring this week.... and that's what I will be working on. So many little pieces I think if I can get the arcs - 416 of these - done this weekend then I will start to feel like I am making headway (I hope anyway)

I too am a Bonnie mystery solver! I had such big plans..just finishing up Clue 3. So this weekend is cutting and cutting and cutting...and sewing! (one of the things that sidetracked me was our DD having an emergency appendectomy! THAT was not much fun for anyone involved! She is well and will fly home with her DH this afternoon. )

I will be working on: 1) BHMQ, trying to catch up. I have 4 days. I have 4 steps to complete. In between that, I want to (2) pin my temp quilt for 6 months, sew them later next week. (3) Bind a purple tree skirt I was given 2 years ago and give it away. This will be my 3rd UFO this month. (5) Stitch a 40" kids top for donation, blocks are cut just need to be sewn together. I want done by 5th January to give away at guild Quilting Bee. lastly (6) Take apart last years BHMQ, remove yellow blocks for 1/2 square purple/white blocks. Sew the individual blocks together. What I don't get done this weekend, I will complete on the next VQW, later this month. I'll check in later. Happy sewing everyone.

For what ever reason - I suddenly remembered one of my Mom's UFO's that I could get to the floppy stage. From her notes, I think she was making this for her Mother, but it got set aside when she stopped quilting after Dad retired (he wanted to travel so she switched to crochet). So it's been in UFO stage for about 40 years. It's a flower basket quilt. There are another 20 blocks, but I think I'll put them together separately for another lap quilt to give to a sibling that Mom never got around to making a quilt for. She never made one for me either, so I'm going to keep this one.

There is enough sashing fabric to use for binding, so that is a bonus.

This will be the third of Mom's UFO's I've completed. Still have several more and I pull them out and work on them when the mood strikes.

I’ll do my best to clean up a little table where I stack UFOs & planned projects. It’s not real full so I can probably make a difference and then I don’t have them staring me in the face. There’s always cooking to do and DH may have a plan or two for me. We try to fit in a walk in the Mall for exercise. Friday is “clean day” and after 50+ years, he helps now so I get more done besides housework. Before Spring, I want to clear out the sewing room so I can clean and reorganize then start in anew.

the top is complete, an original design. started with 42 HSTs, which made only 10.5 pinwheels. so the odd two made two hourglass blocks that were built out to the 10" blocks that the pinwheels made.

I'm back from shopping with no plans to head out again until Tuesday. I wanted to take advantage of the 30% off everything at the local fabric shop and picked up backing for three quilts - and several yards of fabric that caught my eye.

Now to get some serious sewing done!
