Question Nifty Notions Even Feed foot, I have a question.

what is the bar used for that came with the even feed. The directions do not show how to use it.

It is a quilting guide - there is a hole somewhere on the back of the foot that it slides into. Then you can slide it a certain distance away from your first line of stitching. So you get even rows without marking, like when doing crosshatching.

If it is what mine has, it is a guide to help with uniform quilting distances, such as grid quilting and echo quilting.
