OUCH!! Rest up your hand...ice cream for the swelling and chocolate for the pain, much better than ice and tylenol! Are you sure nothing is broken? As for Mr. Dog, that's the #2 reason to teach them to go through doors AFTER the person...rule #1 being the person is Alpha and thus deserves to go first. I'm sure he's really, really sorry he hurt you.

I like Nor'easter's approach to pain killers. I'm sorry you are in pain. That's no fun.

Oh yes!!! I was "helped" out a doorway once and my silly foot broke when it hit the doorjam!! Darn dog really wanted out!! I use a gentle leader on her now..a type of head harness thingy..and I get to go out the door first and walk at my pace. I know squirrels are really cool, but personally I don't want to chase them down for lunch

Hope your hand heals up fast and for cripe's sake mom, don't wait so long between walks next time

if that Rottie is the one that dashed out the door, you'd better be learning about YOU being top dog!
The dog should NEVER *ever* ever dash out the door ahead of you...

our daughter has raised rotties and pits and our son had rotties.... they all learned who was 'top dog'... and guess - it never was a "dog" 8)

OH sweetie how awful, if the swelling does not go down with ice make sure you go see the DR.
Hope you feel better soon.

Ouch! Take good care of that hand - and guess you can just be designing some quilts (in your head anyway) while it heals up!
