I don't like to have food in my sewing room. Unfortunately I do not have any pets so that is not an issue. My DH is afraid to touch anything in my sewing room and it is way too messy for his style. (He even kept his desk at work pristine.) But i do drink coffee or tea or water into the room, or I find that I go too long without fluids, which causes other problems. Sometimes I start shaking because I have forgotten the time and need to eat something. My daughters rarely come into the room because neither one sews.

There are 2 things not allowed in my sewing studio. #1 is pets of any kind. No dog, no cats no birds or tropical fish and no hamsters or gerbils. The second things is anyone who says a word about threads on the floor! That person is not invited back for a second time.
I know I am brutal about these 2 things. For me this is my way of life.

The only restriction I have is ... No bare feet belonging to animals or humans! Pins, needles, etc. get embedded in the carpeting and can be "found" by those bare feet!

I’m not one who snacks so food won’t be found in my sewing room, all beverages are in a lidded tumbler so no issues there, and my cats well what can I say, I fail at a herding cats. On occasion they will come wandering into my sewing area, but that’s usually to pester me for treats when they wake up from their naps, they have me well trained. I keep lint rollers on hand by the dozen for threads and cat hair. Like Sewbiz, the only thing not allowed in my sewing area are the Quilt Police.

I can't think of anything not allowed as far as food or drink or pets. I'd rather have my dog in there then my DH. He gets on my nerves in my sewing room.

My pets aren't allowed in my sewing room. I never take fluids in there, it isn't far from the kitchen.

No bare feet is my only rule. Well, not so much a rule as much as a warning, lol. I’ve got cup holders in my cutting table, a shelf of snacks so I can eat, drink and be merry in my sewing room. Heck, if I could fit a fridge and microwave in there I’d probably never come out. We have no pets and DH never touches my tools - heck, he won’t even come in my room unless he knocks on the doorframe first!

I couldn't think of anything either, but I agree the quilt police are not allowed in my sewing room!

I have always had cats & until my latest one, Waddles, none wanted in my sewing room. But Waddles loves to come
in & lay on my ironing board or wherever she can find a comfy place. However, I can no longer allow her my sewing
room because 2 weeks ago she developed an abscess in her front paw, which is being treated with antibiotics &
soaking her paw !! The vet says she punctured her paw with something & the only thing I can think of, since she is
an indoor cat, is she hurt herself in my sewing room. So sorry this happened & I miss having her with me.

My dogs. Both are fluffy, long haired (Malamute/husky and German Shepherd) and I don't want their hair on my fabric or in my machine.
