So I am into my first attempt at FMQ, doing a meander. Stitches aren't all perfect, but I am having fun. I hear a strange noise, but as all is going well, I ignore it. Short time later I decided to check noise. I had FMQ a pamphlet for my Swivel Sweeper to the back of my quilt. Don't remember seeing that on my table when I started quilting. But sure had a time picking out the stitches and getting the darn thing off the back of my quilt.

LOL, you gotta check on those strange noises! Congrats on FMQ, I've done a little but still get nervous.

I was sewing the center on a petal pillow last night and sewed the bottom of one of the petals to the center. Felt a little thick while I was sewing but I was sewing on chenille and it's kind of thick anyway so didn't think a whole lot of it. My stitches were tiny too, had to put on my magnifying glasses to pick them out!

Oh dear, LOL, me too, sorry for chucklin'. Should you ever happen to do that again, moistening paper with water will make it easier/quicker to pick. Sewing scraps would be time to get out the seam ripper.

When I make a mistake like that it usually is a long time before I make that mistake again. Sharpens my awareness. :-D Thanks for sharing.

Just remembered, last night I was paper piecing a small part of a larger quilt I was working on. When I was turning I found that I had also sewn in a finished pp part of the larger quilt to the new piece. Seam ripper to my rescue. LOL

sorry to chuckle at your mistake---but it gave me a good laugh. thanks ! I don't know how many times I have quilted the overhang edge into my quilt. and those stitches are so hard to rip out. but a flier takes the cake !
