I am new to this site and I am thoroughly enjoying the information, pictures, and experiences shared. I am currently trying my first Folded Dahlia. The piece is going together well, but my question is after it is folded and stitched at the end "What is to keep the folds from coming
out when washed or just general usage. Feedback appreciated.....Thanks Hilda Dohogn

I used mine on the front of tote bag. I tacked each fold at the bottom where it wouldn't show.

I have a booklet here called Quilting with Folded Star which I think is just like the dahlia. In the directions it says....
Tack and baste a triangle to each star point of a previous row. Tack the remaining 8 triangles to each center fold of previous row. I'm not sure if that helps or not but it sounds like you're suppose to tack down each tip.

Thank you. I have several pillows to make
and I sure would hate for the folds to come
    out.......
