I am not a fan of OBW either, yet I am making one simply because I admire the process and skill it takes to make one. Please keep going. Even if you hate it when you are done you will have learned loads. We learn much more from our failures then from our successes. I should have a PHD by now. LOL

Oh, my! To begin with, you "done" good. Just keep going. By the time you get done you will have 16 some of the most beautiful blocks you will ever put together.

You don't have to like stack & whack just enjoy the challenge of doing even 16 squares. And that's the fascination....great challenge. You should try just 1 sometime.

You might think about using 1 (or more) as center medallions for other quilts. How big are they and is this a possibility? I have not gone down this road because I have seen some beautiful fabrics but not so pleasing OBs. Just a thought.

I think you have a good start. Patience is the key. Finish up the blocks and then play with positioning. Can't wait to see the final result.

Also I am putting triangles between my blocks. It seems to seperate them enough so that they look less chaotic to me anyway.

I understand the "oh what have I done" statement. keep going though the blocks are really pretty. Will be well worth the trouble. A friend just finished the blocks for her OBW and now is very happy she stuck with it.
