I just got the book so I am happy to read what to do and what not to do before I begin. Thanks all

Ok. Here is my suggestion. Take lots of the flower head pins and mark multiple identical points (like she says to do on the 4 corners) just down the length of the fabric sections and also in the center. I think you can salvage it if you get multiple points to match in your repeat. Even if they don't match exactly, the patterns will still be cool. I love OBWs. I just have so many other projects to do that my yardage for the next three just sits and waits!

I'm sorry this happened and I'm putting this thread in the OBW topic list to help pre-warn others. :-)
And it also makes it stick to itself so the fabric doesn't flatten as well when trying to line up your match points.

CuteBuns has a tute - go to "search" and look for OBW tutorials. Her's is terrific! Think it's somewhere around 44 - 45 down the list.

You are not ignorant! I was in the same boat, it means "one block wonder". The only one that I know is a stack and whack they are a lot of fun.

Don't give up on making a OBW. I think if your fabric is good quality, you can wash and there shouldn't be a problem. I haven't done a OBW yet, but I have done a stack and wack and I always wash my fabrics and didn't have a problem at all with that.

I have some fabric that I have washed that I'm going to do a OBW. Wish me luck!

I agree. Is there anywhere in this board that has a "dictionary" for the acronyms you all use? Some of them I have figured out, but others leave me baffled. :-}

One Block Wonder
Is that the same as the 3 row block or 10 minute block?
