Just google "attaching a quilt to frame for hand quilting" and you will get what you are looking for. Seems there are some youtube's also.

You didn't mention leaders. If your frame doesn't have leaders attached to it, you'll need to make some from a heavy fabric like canvas. They can be stapled onto the wood, but you'll need a hem in the free end where you will attach your quilt. If there are only 2 rails then I think you need to baste the three layers together before attaching two opposing sides of the quilt to the two rails. If it had three rails you wouldn't need to baste. With a three rail frame, all three layers can be attached to one rail, then the other end of the quilt top is attached to one rail on the side where there are two rails, and the other end of the quilt backing is attached to the other rail. The batting can hang loose between them. As the quilting is completed, the finished section is rolled onto that first rail, where all three layers are attached. That kind of quilt frame works like a longarm frame does. HTH.
