Default bargello quilts.

Hi, I'm new to the board but I'm looking for a bagello quilt design that shows a look of northern lights. Color selction would be nice.

Welcome to the board from Minnesota. Sorry, I can't help you with the pattern.

I did a quick GOOGLE IMAGE search using this for my query "northern lights bargello quilt" I saw some lovely ideas... just not sure if any of them strike you as northern light colors.

Welcome to the board from NE Wisconsin! I've currently been looking through a bargello book by Beth Ann Williams called "Colorwash Bargello Quilts". There are several quilts in there that look like they could be the northern lights if the right colors are used. By the way, I borrowed the book from my local library and would recommend libraries in general as great sources for free quilt patterns! Good luck on your quilting!

It is amazing how many of us feel that the Bargello is the perfect technique to make the hanging curtains that are the northern lights. The right colors and variation in colors across the "curtain" are what would make it the northern lights for me. Have been collecting fabric for ten years, and still haven't dared to start the quilt.
