I agree with you, there are very few things that can't be helped with a dose of diet Dr. Pepper! ( I have also been using the diet Dr. Thunder due to budget constraints)

I do the same thing. LOL Sometimes I figure out problems in my sleep and it wakes me up.

Walking away helps clear the mind. And you may come up with a way to use those pieces your cut too short. Sometimes sleeping on a problem is the best way to solve it. I also think that's how we end up with so many UFOs, but that's another topic!

Been there, done that. You are wise to know when to walk away. That is half the battle. Isn't it amazing how these little things can drive us to distraction? At this time of year, a little sunshine on the deck is healing all on its own. Good luck!

I know how frustrating it is but walking a way and doing something else is a great idea. I too will take a nap or when I am sleeping I will figure out how to do what ever it was that I couldn't do awake.

You think you had a bad day, just listen to this. I drove to the grocery, got my grocerys, loaded my trunk and after shutting the lid discovered I had locked my keys in the trunk. I have no money to call a cab or lock smith. Only one friend with a car, but did not have her cell phone number. I did find an old bent house key in my purse. Ask one lady but she was not going my way, so said no. I finally ask a young guy that came along if he could drive me home to get my other set of car keys, explaining what had happened. He said yes, so I got in a truck with a complete stranger and he did take me home, waited for me to unlock the double lock door with my bent key and get my other set of car keys, he did drive me back to the store where I offered to write him a check but he declined, saying he had been in a simular situation once. I am so thankful there are still people out there still willing to help others when they need it. I also learned a dear lesson, always have two sets of keys with you at all times. I am 76 yrs old and was so frazzled by the experience, couldn't do anything the rest of the day. This morning I am calmer.

Oh how I feel your pain! I just had to take the quilt, fold it, and put it aside. No matter how many pins, how flat it was, how taut the fabric was for pinning, it was bunching up on the top as I quilted it. ARGGGHHH!
The bright side (?), there were no "eye lashes" on the bottom!!

I don't smoke, but chocolate and the diet Dr Pepper was my fix along with walking away!
