WOW I thought my $71.00 find in the pocket of a Goodwill skirt was a great deal.

Perhaps you could use (at least) some of the money to pay for charity quilt fabric...

we have done estate clean outs and we always tell people to check everything, even shoes. While we were there they were packing up clothes for donation and they found several 100 dollars stuffed in the mans shoes. they were so happy we told them to look.

I have heard of jewelry scotch-taped to the outside back of dresser drawers, found by people who had bought the piece and were refinishing it. All kinds of hiding places.

I once found a large stash of $$ in a pair of old drapes at a benefit sale. Did NOT know how much was there. Turned the money in and received a reward of $1000 a few weeks later. About 4 years later received word that I had inherited the money that was in the drapes. Received a check for $5000 about 9 months later.....Yes....FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS!!! If I'm lyin' I'm dyin'!
