I just finished the top for the baby quilt I have two weeks to finish (unbelievably short for me!). It was adapted from a pattern for a rag quilt. Well, the seem allowances were originally supposed to be 1/2 inch. Math is not my best quality and neither is thinking straight when I am in a hurry. I just took 1/2 inch off all the squares in the nine patch which made them a finished size of 5 1/2 when I think it should have been a finished size of 6. So I wound up with the arrow parts being 1 1/2 inches to big after I sewed the squares together. I still think it came out ok and I will find something to do with the strip I am sewing out of the scraps. Thank you all for your help in choosing the color placement. When it is REALLY done I will post another pic.

Looks good to me. Just don't show anyone the original pattern. :)

Make the border with the strips! If there is enough...

Thanks, you guys! I am pretty happy with the way it turned out so far. Very baby girlie which is what I was looking for. Not going to do a border, but I am going to do a small piping with a cross section of the stripe and then the binding is going to be the light purple with the darker purple ribbon thingies on it.
