I had the blue one for about 3 years—it did leak occasionally but I liked the lift feature. Then it started not turning off automatically. And if I turned it off with the dial, it would not shut off (had to be unplugged.) When it started popping the circuit breaker I got rid of it. I didn’t know about the $60 replacement, but probably would’t have gotten another one anyway.

I bought a yellow one on sale years ago, and I turned off the lift mechanism. That bit has never worked correctly. With it off, the 'legs' don't lift high enough and snag on the fabric and irons accordian-like pleats into it. With it on, it doesn't lift high enough- my board gets pretty hot, and I don't trust it.

I've never put water in it, so don't know about steam or leakage.

This iron is too expensive to not trust it. There are just too many choices out there that are better for me.

Funny thing, I won a second Oliso ... a pretty purple one, about a year ago and have not yet taken it out of it's box. I just have others I like better.

Yes, I got the red lift one. I bought it on Amazon and applied for an Amazon credit card so got a $100 gift card.

The Olisos are sold in Australia and we use the same voltage as the UK (240v). However, it would probably be too expensive to import one.

I have the yellow one---I love it---no issues whatsoever. I knocked so may of the other irons off my ironing board...when they sit up on end..they aren't very stable...don't know if I am just klutzy or just wasn't paying enough attention--but if I sat them up too close to the edge they would fall off---not with the Oliso.

I am hoping to have good luck with mine. I just bought it! It's from MSQC and Jenny did a demonstration with her new iron. The iron is done in their MSCQ colors - teal with a strong yellow and white. Jenny says it has her signature on it. Anyway, Jenny did a swell job of pointing out all the amazing features and so I went for it. Really hoping it turns out to be a great iron!

Mine is over 3 years old now. I like it so much I bought three more to put away when they were on various half-price sales here in Australia in case Oliso ever stopped selling them here.

I went to a demo at LQS and there was an Oliso mini iron hung on the wall right by the demo table. The mat that comes with the iron has a big loop that will hang The iron was easy to slip in and out of it. I never realizes how handy that would be to have the iron on the wall. It works great for the shop as a lot of people were crowded around the demo table and having an iron sitting there could be risk.
