Default One Block Wonder for Christmas

Well, today I cut the blocks for the One Block Wonder. All triangles have been cut. Tonight I lay out the hexagons to see which direction they look best before I start sewing on Friday.

And remember not to sew the hexagons completely together! Sew 2 sections of three triangles each, then join them when you put the whole top together.

I usually make the decision about which way to orient the triangles while I'm doing the sewing. After sewing, I sometimes tape the two halves of the hexagons together, just to make it easier to put on the design wall.

Is this your first OBW, lyndaj? I've done one and plan to do another.

Great. I think it's so much fun to see how many different kalidoscopes can be made from the fabric. Look forward to seeing it when you're done.

Would love to see the pics. I have it on my bucket list with the fabric all picked out with the book.
