If you decide to sell through a garage sale, please let us know here. Some of us might take a road trip to help you de-stash. (Aren't we wonderful?) ;) ;)

Sounds right to me! It will be hard giving up your precious fabric as is, so keeping some of each will make it easier! :)

I'm thinking I'd just keep it. Your daughter can always have a fabric sale after you're gone. Who knows, you may live to be 100, and you don't want to run out of quilt fabric if you can still sew! Let her worry about selling it! :-)

If you have local quilting guilds, be sure to let them know about your sale!

You may want to donate some of it to a local guild that makes quilts for those in need or soldiers or some other good cause. It may it easier to let go.

I would put together enough fabric to make 2 or 3 quilts using up my favorite fabrics. I would then keep 1 to 1/2 yards of the fabrics I really liked.

I am sorting out my fabric also. I have gone though my patterns and have made up packets with a pattern and the fabric to make it. I now have my projects organized with the pattern and fabric ready to go. My problem has always been to buy fabic with no purpose in mind and therefore the stash that has gotten out of control.I would suggest that you keep the fabric your eally like but put it with a pattern so you remember why you have kept it.
