Which color do you want to emphasize?
If you use the brown it dominates heavily.
If you use the teal, you see both better.

The first choice would be my pick. Has more life in it. Very nice quilt.

EDIT: I think I am going to change my mind on this one. After looking at them again and again, I think I do like the second one better.

I think I like the brown, it sets the quilt off.

second one! the blue looks wonderful next to it and has a richer contrast.

#1 has my vote. Coincidentally I'm currently working on a quilt that has those same colors in it. I think the brown brightens the colors in the border print and the dark teal provides a perfect finial for the quilt.
