Great idea and I love how you re-did the file cabinet.

What a very cool idea! Love the way you fixed the fronts of the drawers, pretty and functional.

you could also use the file cabinets for your monthly magazines, instead of taking up space on shelves.

Like the idea - but I have a question - in the hanging filing folders - do you have the fabrics folded or on cardboard? How does the fabric stay so straight? In a hanging folder, I would think the fabric would fall. Just curious, because I have some file drawers I can re-purpose.

The fabrics are just folded over. I have only used it for anything from a fat quarter to 2 yards of fabric. Anything larger may not stay put quites so well. My sister cuts the cardboard out of the folder and it's just as if you folded it over a hanger.
