Default Organizing Quilt Photos

I have full cards of quilt inspiration photos and somehow got duplicates as well. I have been seeing a photo stick (USB) that says you can transfer to it and it will sort out any duplicates. I would love to due this as my cards are full right now. Has anyone done this? Does it work?

Sounds like I need one too. I have photos of lots of my quilts in about 4 or 5 places on this computer. Doubt it would work though.

I was intrigued by your question as I have thousands and thousands of pictures (128GB) on my computer. I am unsure of what you are calling "cards" of pictures. I did a google search for a "usb for photo storage with sorting" . Several types of USB photo keepers/photo sticks showed up. Did a quick look at them on Amazon and the reviews are not very good. Mainly because they copy your photos but they are not organized or sorted in any way plus they seem to be expensive.
This is what I do, I bought an 1TB external hard drive and just copy my files including photos to it. They remain sorted as I have them on my computer (by date and subject in folders) and I can easily retrieve them should my computer die.
Hope this is helpful....

You may get an better answer, but when I save something to my flash drive it gives me a warning if there is already a file with the same name. That being said, I still find duplicates where I've named them slightly different. The other problem is I have several folders (i.e. type, designer, piecing or applique for example) and you can have the same file name within a folder so there are more duplicates.

I would be curious if there are other sorting methods that could be used.
