My husband had Basenji's since before we met over 20 plus years ago! We still have one who probably won't make it through the winter. She's so thin, and deaf, but still eats. We've lost each one to cancer at a ripe old age. Still hard to let them go even though it's the humane thing to do! Two were "rescued" from families who couldn't handle them or care for them in the city. Another we bought as a puppy who remained that way until she got ran over and broke her hip. Made a trip to the state vet hospital in Iowa to have surgery! One of the ones he had when we married got kicked by a horse and broke her leg. She was in a cast for a while! We have lots of memories of them all!!

Our house is a place to store our stuff(stash), while we go out and buy more stuff.

Just when you think you have raised them right, kids open their mouths . . . LOL!
