Smile What is the name of this quilt

    Hello,
I saw a quilt online a few days ago and wanted to try it. Unfortunately I forgot what it is called. (middle aged brain)
It is a foundation quilt. You sew squares or regtangles on the foundation fabric by stitching around each piece. Raw edge. Also the batting and backing are already sandwiched with the foundation fabric so when you stick the blocks on it also does the quilting.
Can't believe I forgot what it is called. Can anyone help me?

It sounds like you are describing bottled rainbows. Charismah did a gorgeous one pictured here: http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...2-t118490.html

A link to the tutorial is right in Charismah's post but here it is as well:

Edited to add, if you don't feel like following the whole blog here is a link to the nitty gritty of construction

This is very similar to what I saw but the other one used one foundation piece so you didn't have to join blocks when you are done. Oh well this one is even better in the layout and using scraps. I love it. Easier to manipulate in my machine.
I looked up Ticker Tape quilts and that was the name I forgot. So this was very helpful.
    Thanks for the comments.

I found out it was a Ticker Tape Quilt but the one from Diy Dish is on the same principle. I had seen that one but didn't connect the two. (I love Diy Dish by the way).
Thanks for all the help. Found what I need.
