Default Paducah Quilt show

Anyone ( I should say) how many are going to the Paducah show this year? We decided at the last min. to go last year and had to say a few miles away. Does anyone know the closest hotel to the show. I am going to try and make reservations tomorrow. We are so excited about this year.

Good luck. I think a lot of the rooms are booked year to year in advance.

I know the gals who go from FL stay in Metropolis, IL. I think the hotels in Paducah book up fast.

I booked rooms last month and could only find smoking rooms about 45 miles out. We are staying at one of the cottages at a state park about 41 miles away

I also booked more than a month ago and had a hard time finding a spot - probably about 20 miles out. I'll continue to check occasionally to see if I can get any closer for a reasonable rate.

Also, a lot of the hotels have a minimum nights stay. I stayed at the Hampton Inn one year (on Hilton Honors points - a goof from their reservations department). The hotel was already handing out contracts for the next year - $199/night with a minimum 5 night stay. It's a great hotel - right on the shuttle route, just down the street from Hancock's of Paducah, but that price is a little too steep for me

What about RV parks in the area? I would love to go there one day.

The closer you get to the city, the less likely you will be able to find a room now.
A few of us are going again this year. I'm looking forward to it. We booked a few months ago and are staying about a half hour away from town. It's an easy commute. This year's hotel is right off the main road/highway so it will be better than last year. We stayed at two different lodges and they were a pain to get to on the way home. The first place was horribly noisy and the second was kind of a dump but it was a room and that's what we needed.
