thank you Rainfield your parcel arrived today thank you thank you thank you, what a wonderful pick me up. I was feeling really down, as I see what is left of my house every day and wish the insurance would let us clean it all away as there are so many memories in ashes and it breaks my heart when I think of the kittens that were lost. the only room that is partly intact is my bedroom and that is where the kittens would have been sleeping. so today has been a hard day for me, I guess I am starting slip into depression, it is very hard the way we are living at the moment, SO what a wonderful surprise I had when we went to the shop to pick up our mail and this wonderful parcel was waiting for me, it has Batting in it and quilting books, also some lovely material and lots and lots of little and not so little squares of fabric.
I wish I could take a picture to show you all what arrived in the mail but as everything else in my life at the moment my NEW camera decided to give up the ghost and has stopped working. so that is another thing I have to do is get it replaced, it has only taken about 6 pictures, GRRR but never mind I just keep reminding myself it could have been a lot worse. so once again thank you for my wonderful surprise.

that is just wonderful that you get a lovely squishy. it is always wonderful when we are having a bad day/week/month to always get a pick me up. I am sorry that you lost the house and kittens. I will keep you guys in my prayers if that is okay with you. and here is a BIG {{{{{{HUG}}}}} things could be worse. just remember that. you have your lives and everything "material" can be replaced. just will take time and who knows you might be able to get better/nicer stuff. think of this as a wonderful blessing that you get to start from scratch. I know that it will be hard but try to stay positive. it will help with the depression, I know because it suffer from depression also. Get your happy on by looking at pics and plans for new homes and furniture and fabric. kinda like window shopping. I am a planner and when I know things are needing to happen I start thinking and looking and planning things out. it is a very proactive thing to do and it helps keep things positive and the depression at bay.

thank you Sahm for your encouraging words. most days I have been coping well but yesterday for some reason I was feeling extra low. I refuse to take anti depressants as most of the time I am fine. but I do wish we could remove the old house and get started on the new one.
I am looking at houses but we wont have enough to replace our original house so we will end up with a much smaller one. and I am so looking forward to having a shopping spree. we already have mostly new clothes and people have been woderful to us, so I have many blessings.
and having friends on this QB helps a lot.

I'm so sorry you lost your home and sweet little kittens. I can't imagine how horrible that must be but I'm glad your parcel brightened your day. There's been way too many disasters lately, our town managed to avoid the floods through a lot of hard work and although relieved, I feel so bad for those like yourself that have lost everything in the fires and floods. I hope you are able to start clearing up soon.

My house burnt to the ground on new years day and I lost 3 show breeding kittens in the fire.
I had planned on de-cluttering but that was a bit drastic. SEE I am starting to joke again.

thanks Rainy day your parcel arrived on the day I found out how much my BIL insured the house for and it is only half of what it was worth. we had put 20 years into turning a cottage into a house and he didn't believe me when he asked me what it was worth He just said it couldnt be worth that much, this is a man who hasn't stepped foot in our house in 15 years and thought I must be dreaming. he asked me to get it valued as we had done so much work on the house so why didn't he believe me when I told him???? he is so out of touch with reallity.
he is now going to get his house valued as he is insured for what it cost him to buy 10 years ago. I have news for him it will be more than double what he paid for it. thankfully his house is still standing.
so you can see why I was so depressed that day. and yes your lovely parcel helped make my day a lot better. thank you
