That looks like a great pattern - I can not wait to see what it looks like. I too have drooling at the ones I see at Cabella's. I agree - they are really nice purses but very pricey!! I am thinking that if you want to have a softer look of quilting fabric on the outside that you could use a Duck or Canvas (or even an upholstery fabric) inside to add stability and strength.

No need to not go to Texas or anywhere else for that matter. The key part is the weapons are concealed you won't even know if anyone has one with them. You'll be safe at the quilt show in Houston. Enjoy the quilts.

Ladies it doesn't have to be heavy I carry mine in a Vera so cotton will do the main problem is having it where you will not expose it and I also would like to make my own I really would like to start a line of them for all us sew and tote women haha

I would love a lightweight concealed carry bag. The leather ones (and the nylon ones) are just too large and heavy. I am only 5 feet tall and look ridiculous with these large bags. Other problems with most of them - they are for right handed shooters. I am a lefty when I shoot, righty any other time, so I need a bag with left hand access. A fanny pack is probably the way to go for me, but haven't seen any that I like. If you find a pattern for one, please let me know. Thanks!

I saw The Guarrdian pattern and like it, don't feel I'm up to making it tho...I carry mine in a holster inside my waitband of my jeans
