I think it's going to be great. You have a wonderful start on it and the pattern is very easy to see with the fabrics you've chosen. Don't let the size get to you either, it's just more fabric after all. I always feel like I've accomplished something when I complete a king sized quilt, much more than a wall hanging or some other small item. Gives you a real sense of pride. Good Luck!

I agree with everyone else. Don't change anything--your quilt is going to be breathtaking. Don't let the size scare you and take your time. It will be beautiful.

Did they actually "see" the fabrics you chose? Maybe in their mind they weren't looking at the "lights" and "darks" you were using. Could be they were picturing darker browns? Beautiful!

This is going to be one gorgeous quilt! It is looking really, really good. Keep going as is - and be sure to post a finished picture. Lucky recipients.

It has the wow factor right now and all the potential of being a family treasure once your done. I don't think you lose anything using the material you already are using; Your doing great. Can't wait to see it finished.
