The last couple of times I have been at Joann's, I have come home with a little 5 piece fat quarter bundle. They are so pretty and nicely coordinated, and 30% off that I can't resist. Once they are home though I don't know what to do with them. Below is the latest bundle. Any suggestions?

Love the brightness, they would make a great beach tote. They make me think of water and sealife for some reason

Will they take them back? LOL Just kidding... How about a lap quilt that has significant sized blocks like maybe a turning twenty style? with maybe sashing of a solid color between them. I guess what I am saying is that the materials are all meant to be together but don't use them and cut them into smaller pieces and use them together in the blocks because they might be too "busy" to be used in the same block. MAke any sense?

Get a coordinating solid and make a table runner/placemat/potholder set!

Four of the fat quarters say Blank Quilting 2006. I guess I was surprised to see them at Joann's. They also had several packets of very pretty Asian fabric, which also surprised me. Unfortunately, or fortunately, I am not into Asian fabric.

I was hoping to just use the fat quarters or buy a few pieces to work with them. A tote or table runner sound like good ideas.

I'm not really good about using busy fabrics in my quilts. I love the colors here. I would probably pull out the darker blue in several of these and then make a tablerunner with them. It would be very pretty.

How about a binder? I'm been dying to try the free pattern from Atkinson Designs for the Airplane Art Binder. Use the link below and scroll down a few projects.

I checked out the binder. Great idea. I also like to knit, and that gave me the idea for a needle case especially for my DP's. I don't have a sewing machine cover, so maybe I can manage that out of these. My mind is going.
