I'd take a look at the free online pattern Wild Orchids by Northcott, (www.northcott.com). The pattern is in the archived section under the pattern button and is by Jean Ann Wright. It's an easy but very striking design and I have just finished two of these quilts just using purples of every shade and hue. The original pattern is smaller but I just made more block units, each block unit being 18 1/2". The queen sized one I made I used 4X5 blocks before borders and the king sized 5X5 which was 90X90 before borders. This quilt would be just as great using all of your fabrics and is very easy to stitch and quick to cut if you lay the cut strips and rectangles in piles as you go. Happy stitching!

WOW! I didn't realize there'd be so many choices! Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm going to research all of the ones mentioned. I know basically what a log cabin is but haven't done one. I will go see what everyone else talked about.

THANKS! You guys are all the greatest!

I just finished a quilt for my son and daughter-in-law. I found the pattern at Hoffman.com (free), and I needed 10 fabrics. I fell in love with the Batik fabrics, and when I ordered them on line, the store asked me to send a picture when I was done because they couldn't figure out what I was making with all these colors. It turned out pretty cute I think, and not as busy as it may look.

I think a bargello would be beautiful with those fabrics. They are wonderful.

KLgreen - that is a beautiful quilt! As my four-year-old would say, I love it very much!
