Pellon Insul-Fleece
has anyone used this in pot holders? I need to know which side goes toward the heat. I plan to make those long pot holders you slip your hands into. the sides look almost the same to me as with insul-bright. i hate having to figure this out and they do not tell me much in the directions. this is from pellon http://www.pellonprojects.com/produc...-insul-fleece/
it would be my guess that if it is not specified, it does not matter which way is up

I was once told by a shop owner to put the 'silver threads' next to the heat to insulate it from the hands. Or put the table runner top side , with; the 'silver threads' on the top of the table runner to prevent any table damage due ot the heat of the bowls or pans. So that is what I did, never had anyone complain about it.

there is a difference to me. I have set my iron on one side with fabric over it and felt under it. now, with a casserole carrier, you would want the heat to stay "inside" with the dish. I will test it when i get ready to make the pot holder.
