Quilter's Retreat at Cherry Ridge, Honesdale, PA
I am considering going to this retreat, but wonder if anyone here has gone in the past and what they thought of the experience.

Sounds fun Sunnie. You should go. I haven't been to that one but I have been to one and had fun. I will never see those girls again but have memories and a mystery quilt and signature blocks from it. It was weird going with a stranger and meeting new people but we all had one thing in common, quilting. Gosh, it was probably more than 10 years ago. anyway, just wanted to send you a reply about retreats. Have fun !!

Ohhh - I've never heard of it but am going to look into it! It's a little over half way between our home and DD's home... Would be perfect, and it's a great time of year; it should be gorgeous there. I am NOT a camper, but there seem to be lots of different kinds of accomodations. I wonder what this year's classes will be? Well, I'd be more than happy to not do classes and just be away and sew with other like-minded folks!
Thanks for the link!

I know Chris and she is a marvelous quilter and just a wonderful person. I had planned to go to the first one but my health has been deteriorating and I haven't been able to go yet. If you get a chance to go.....do it! I would try to go this year but "my baby" is having "her first baby" a week before the scheduled dates for the quilt weekend.
Chris started this as a way to encourage quilters to get together and have a fun weekend and the prices are extremely reasonable. By the way for any woodcarvers out there, lots of spouses who carve will be there having fun that weekend too! (Both Chris' hubby and mine teach woodcarving in Honesdale every July).
