I have been very happy with my brother. PC 420 May be partly the frustration I had with my pfaff over the last few years but it is so fun to have the new features that my pfaff did not have. I sewed many Christmas gifts and am now starting a quilt for my sons wedding. It is always different getting used to a new machine but I do not feel as if it is a step down. Your expert may just like a certain brand, have you went and tried different brands and models. They have changed a lot in the last few years. Our local Pfaff dealer is even getting out of the Pfaff business.

Where did you go to get your board replaced for $150? That's cheap compared to what they quoted me for my Pfaff 7510. The lower main board would cost somewhere around $500 - I'm having doubts as to whether it is worth fixing. The other electronics might bad i.e., the power supply, the display board or whatever.

I'd pay $500, maybe more, for a 7510 with a new motherboard, more with some sort of warranty on that work.

I have a 7570 and just lately whn I turn it on it seems to be stuck, like it is trying to set itself and can't. After I turn it off and on a couple of times that seems to do the trick. Anyone else have this problem? I have had mine sinc 1998 and love.

I was about to get a new sewing machine but after I kept turning it off & on, pressing the buttons, the "internal error" stopped appearing. The normal display of 'straight stitch' started to appear again. But this is not consistent...I can't always get the zigzag - 'internal error' starts to appear again. So is it really the board that is the issue or could there be something else. I'm able to sew straight stitch but I do not think my Pfaff 7510 is very reliable.
Anyone have a similar type of an issue?
