Default Piece Goods Fabric store

Anyone remember the Piece good fabric store, I lived near Philadelphia in the 1960'-1970's. ??

There was one down in Richmond, VA back in the day. Closed in mid-'80s, I think. I can remember getting some real bargains before Joann's replaced them.

There were 3 or 4 of them in Charlotte, NC and they were always busy. They were my 'go to' shops often.

I remember a piece goods ,rag shop and hancocks ,rag shop was my go to store located in a shopping center down the street from the apartment complex i lived in at the time was my second home. sadley all gone now

I really miss piece goods, they were a great place to "shop".

They were great stores, my neighbor was the owner of at least the local ones here in Utah. She closed them when she was in her late 70's

I spent a lot of time in the one in Hopewell, VA. Worked there part-time too.
