I've read it several times on this board recently that the sizzix big shot and big shot pro are not made with quilters in mind. The sizzix site has an entire section called quilting that consists of lots of quilt related dies including strip cutting dies for both the big shot/big kick and the big shot pro.

all of these dies fit in the big kick and big shot (regular, not pro) and are quilter's dies

You do have to have the extended cutting pads for the longer dies (unless you buy the westminster model which comes with them) but they ARE for quilters!!

Thank you for the links. I didn't realize Sizzix had their own quilting dies. I just ordered the big shot pro- from what I understand, you can use all the other dies in it but might have to use spacers to make up for thickness difference.
I hope they last a long time, they're quite pricey!

I have been using Ellison/Sizzix dies for years and they last forever...and I cut ALL sorts of materials with them, papers, fabrics, ultrasuede, leather, felt, even tin....
