I am having fun, I have only been home for a short bit, and now I am going to start pulling purple off of my shelves, at least this will help me get them organized if nothing else.

Counting, that is a lot of different purples. I will see what I can pull, I know I have a lot, I should have looked fro more while I was at the fabric store, Though I should be able to make up what I have already.

don't forget!
There are purple reds, purple blues, purple pinks ... and purple lilacs and purple fuschias, and ... well, you get the idea.
right?
I get red reds, red oranges, red browns, red purples, red pinks, red ...
I am wondering if we aren't making a triple Irish chain ... hmmm

Well, those 2 7/8" squares don't fit ... those are for half square triangles ... or snowballs ... disappearing nine patch with stars in between?

I'm going to try it but don't know how thin I'll be spreading myself. I'm starting a machine applique class on July 8 at my LQS. I'm trying to finish my sampler. I have the blue and white swap. I will be having the black and white swap squares coming soon. I have several other projects in line, meaning fabric bought, washed and waiting: 1. sunflower cafe wallhanging 2. precious cargo (applique trains) quilt for my grandson 3. water color birdhouse wallhanging 4. Birdhouse BOM.

Also, I've only been quilting for about a year and a half, so I'm not sure I could keep up. So................ I guess I'm asking for "unbiased" advice..... how many of you think I should do the One Day thingy?! Majority wins!

Angie, et al ... I think this project is definitely doable.
Copy out the instructions, have the fabrics all cut and after that, it's all a piece of cake! <g>
As mentioned before, the instructions for assembly are very good and you will have a fine product at the end of the day. Maybe even a few new friends!

I went back and looked again and it gives you the instructions for cutting out your material, Those of you who have done this before, do you have all your pieces cut before hand? Afraid something might happen and i would not be able to watch that day? I so want to do this.
