I will be hand quilting this as soon as my new hoop arrives. This is my first quilt top...so my first try at quilting it. I'm thinking to outline quilt (quilt 1/4 inch inside the pieces of the block) for the blocks and maybe the center. And, maybe do some sort of border design. Would it be overkill to outline quilt EVERY piece? I will be using Mountain Mist White Rose Batting so I know that I have a few inches between stitches.

I just thought I'd put it out there for your "expert" opinions.

Thanks in advance!

P.S. I discovered the error in one of the blocks last night and have since fixed it...just haven't had a chance to update the picture yet.

A picture would be a good starter to help get our creative juices flowing!

...... I see your pic has now arrived.
Nice and cheery quilt!

Nice choice of colors. Very pretty quilt. Your idea for quilting sounds like a good idea, but will take a long time.

I first thought of quilting diagonally through through the squares in the center part, but then had another idea. What if you quilted the center in interlocking circles?

For the pieced squares, the quilting won't be as prominent, so I think your idea about doing 1/4" inside the seams is right.

It's a lovely, colorful quilt! I'm not much help with the quilting part. But you will get lots of help here!
