Thank you so much for giving me your comments on your experience with actual use of this table. Sturdy is what I want. There is a new table out by Sullivan on their website that replaces the shelves with 2 large drawers. The height is now adjustable on this one. One ? for you please:

Do you find it easy to adjust the height? Do you need tools? Thanks again for your help. Copycat

I bought this table and have been very happy with it. I raise and lower the side of the table. It's very sturdy. I love the shelves. I keep tubs of fabric on them. I also have 2 long tables that my 23x70" cutting board sits on, so I put my smaller cutting board on this. I love the adjustable height option. You can find one 'like' it for less, but not the same one for less. I would go for it. I am very happy with mine. Lots of room. It adds so much to my sewing room!

I've recently been buying furniture at Walmart for my sewing space and have been very happy. A table that size is invaluable for sandwiching. I have one that was purchased at an estate sale but it is hardwood on the bottom. My husband made shelves for the center. It is sturdy and one of the only things that survived the flood -- except for the shelves. How sturdy do you need it to be? Are you going to sit on it? No. You'll cut fabric on it and you'll sandwich. IMHO, go for it!

Thanks Sandy for the kitchen island idea. The room I am making into a sewing room will also be a guest room with a sleeper sofa so space is limited, therefore I need a table that folds down to smaller size.

Not knowing if you have a budget range but have you considered looking at mobile kitchen islands? I brought mine to my sewing room after we remodeled our kitchen. It is the right height and it is on wheels, has storage shelves behind doors. I love my island. There are so many to choose from these days.

Based on a 5-star review, give the walmart table a try.

No, I don't plan to sew at this table, although it will adjust to sewing level.
Wow, now you gave me an idea..... I could have a sewing party in my sewing room with this table and it will seat several sewers. I am leaning toward trying it out since there is the 30 day return policy. Thanks again for your help.

Thanks for your idea of putting a seasonal quilt over the folded up size table. Also, I will check out the tables at Hancocks.

I don't remember the exact price but it was on sale, under $100. I have to set it up in my living room so really like how it folds up. I can just push it against the wall and then put a small seasonal quilt on top when I have to. It doesn't seem flimsy to me. Hard to move on carpet eventhough it has casters. The adjustable height feature on yours sounds good. We each just have to decide which features are the most important. Maybe you live somewhere where you don't have access to Hancocks, etc. and the free shipping is then really important. Good luck with your decision.

I also am using the living room table for cutting. Due to space I saw this folded version that would be in my guest/sewing room.

There are more table choices to view at www.sullivans.net/usa/ There are lots of sewing/quilting table choices to view.

I had the one without the shelves underneath and got it from JoAnne's. I found it a bit flimsy for me plus the table wasn't as level as I'd like. For that much money, I'd want to be sure it was completely level all the way across plus didn't wiggle as the one I had. It worked for the moment as I was in the process of selling my home and needed something temporary. I gave it to a friend who didn't have any cutting surface. I made my own cutting/craft table out of two bottom cabinets and a 3/4" piece of plywood, attached with "L" brackets. Added a shelf underneath that gave me lots of storage room for totes.

Just my opinion.

I have one from JoAnns without the shelves. It is too wobbly for cutting. At this point, I just put a leaf up when I need extra horizontal surfaces for laying out fabrics. I would not buy it again.

My cutting table has wooden supports for the side extensions. It also has a drawer and a shelf. When I had it in my sewing room I had to cut at the end . It wasn't very stable. Since I've moved it to another room and put it against the wall I cut from the side and it is fine. Don't remember where or when I got it.

If you think it looks good, order it. If you save your receipt you can always return it.
